IAP2 Australasia WA Local Networking Event
AI's Influence on Engagement
Hosted by Department of Planning Lands and Heritage & DevelopmentWA
About the event
We are pleased to invite you to an IAP2 WA networking event exploring AI's Influence on the Future of Engagement Practice. This event will showcase how AI can transform engagement, providing both strategic insights and practical examples from the field.
We’re excited to have Ruth Callaghan as our keynote speaker. Ruth is an accomplished strategic communications advisor with extensive experience leading engagement and communication strategies across a wide range of sectors. As the Chief Innovation Officer at Purple, Ruth brings a wealth of knowledge on the integration of technology in communication and engagement. Her insights will provide valuable context on the evolving role of AI in shaping effective engagement practices.
Following Ruth’s presentation, we will explore a practical case study presented by James Murphy and Dani Hogarth from the City of Stirling. They will share firsthand experiences of integrating AI tools, such as Ainsley, the neighbourhood chatbot that engages with the community through two-way conversations, gathering local priorities. This session will reflect on the practical ways to integrate AI into everyday engagement activities, as well as the opportunities and challenges faced in adopting AI in real-world engagement.
